Synopsis

Storyteller/playwright Prince Gomolvilas and singer/songwriter Brandon Patton reload the record machine with all-new tales, tunes, and tons of fun (in the form of an intriguing murder mystery) in Jukebox Stories: The Case of the Creamy Foam. Prince and Brandon once again leave the set list up to the audience, give away prizes to lucky winners, and mix it up every night. Part theater piece, part live music performance, Jukebox Stories: The Case of the Creamy Foam promises to be a theatrical experience like none other—and never the same way twice.

Acclaim

"Delightful running jokes, audience participation that actually works, a satisfying finale, and showmanship bordering on hucksterdom. When Patton sings, 'Help Me Get Paid to Talk About Myself,' not only don't you mind the $15 you paid to hear them do just that, but you might come back again to see what's in the mix next time."

Praise From the Blogosphere

"The show left us both tingling with an inspired feeling that only a good night of theater can induce. They play trivia games with the audience and effortlessly shape the show around the feedback they're getting from the crowd. Perhaps more importantly, they look like they're having a great time. By the end of the evening (which flew by) I felt as though I had just hung out with them in their home for a couple hours."

"The show is pure genius. It's funny, dramatic, theatrical, participatory. There are also prizes along the way, for knowing trivia, for solving the Case of the Creamy Foam (suspects range from Zac Efron to Maury Povich to Barbie), or to make up for inappropriate touches and/or lap dances from one of the performers (usually Prince)."

"Two of my favorite performers. Gomolvilas is a high-octane story-teller who blends Asian angst with universal pathos; Patton is an absolutely brilliant guitarist, sort of an R-rated cross between Alan Sherman and The Shins."

"[Brandon] is easily one of the most inventive acoustic guitar players we have ever had the pleasure of watching work. He's a good songwriter too, don't get us wrong. Seamlessly switching back and forth between goofy humor and heartfelt emotional heft the way he does is no easy feat, but some of the stuff he did on that acoustic we ain't seen nobody do before. Laid back, unpretentious, and fun."
